Dear Reader, Teaching has been a time honored tradition for hundreds of years. Whether you want to pursue a career in teaching or you wish to volunteer your time as a teacher, it is important to learn key techniques which can improve your teaching abilities. Without the right tools and information, it could take you years and cost you a small fortune to discover the secrets to teaching. Instead of spending a fortune on so-called experts or knocking yourself out with the old trial and error method, there is an easier way to be the teacher you have always dreamed of. Now theres good news .... I wont deny that there are a ton of books out there on teaching. Unfortunately the problem with most books on the subject of teaching is that they are either filled with plenty of promises and no solid techniques and strategies to back up those promises or they contain only one or two pieces of useful information and not a comprehensive look at everything you need to know to succeed in teaching. Introducing The Teachers Guide! Teachers Guide breaks the mold of all the other teaching books and manuals you have heard and read about. It presents solid, proven steps to help you learn how to be the teacher youve always wanted. Sounds too good to be true? Its not and I can prove it with Teachers Guide! But, first a word of introduction. My name is Dan. A few years ago I found myself in a situation not too different from your own. Like almost everyone else, I longed to be a better teacher, but I had no idea where to start! None of the books I had read on teaching had been able to solve my problem. Some of them were so mired down in fancy words and technicalities that it was a miracle I ever got past the first chapter! Others might have passed on a helpful hint or two, but did not solve my problems. Thats when it hit me! If I couldnt find a comprehensive guide on teaching, then why not create my own? I was tired of flipping back and forth through tons of books for the few bits of information that could help me; but I reasoned that if I put all those little tidbits of info together then I might actually be able to begin understanding the secrets to teaching. The next morning I furiously began to read through all of the teaching books that I had purchased over the past three years and take down the pertinent notes. I didnt stop there either. I swallowed my pride and enlisted the help of people that I knew who had been personally successful in teaching. It took awhile to sort through all of the information I had gathered and compile the notes I received from the experts I consulted, but when I was finished I sat back and was completely stunned. Right here in front of me was the information that I had been seeking all along! From the notes I had taken from several articles on the subject of teaching, as well as my own experiments, I had comprised a comprehensive compendium on the subject of teaching. I sat back in stunned amazement! It was all there! The Work of the Teacher How to Stimulate Thinking The Importance of Play in Education Classroom Lessons The Importance of Individual Differences How to Cultivate Moral Attitudes Then I decided to try an experiment and put all of my hard work to the test. The next morning I awoke with new determination. This time I would not fail! Suddenly, I was excited! I absolutely could not believe the difference. Suddenly it was all so clear! I could easily implement proven strategies without having to wade through a mountain of fancy words and difficult to understand terms. What happened next was nothing short of amazing! These strategies not only worked, but the results were completely astonishing. As my success with teaching grew, I started to feel guilty. I knew there were a lot more people out there who wanted the same solutions I had found. Somehow, it just didnt seem right to keep it to myself. One night as I made some changes to my book, I wondered how many other people might have the same problem? After all, if I couldnt find a decent comprehensive teaching manual, what were the chances anyone else could? Given the tremendous success I had encountered using my manual; I was sure that other people could take the same easy to read and understands strategies and achieve success as well. Right now youre probably thinking, Yeah, right. Theres a ton of teaching books out there. What makes you and your book so different? I wont deny for a minute that there are some good teaching books out there-after all Ive read most of them, if not all of them. The difference, however; is that my book blows all the others out of the water because it doesnt just focus on one area of the game. You get everything you need to understand how to teach successfully. Nothing, absolutely nothing, is left out. All the fundamentals are there. And thats just a small taste of what you will get when you order the Teachers Guide Absolutely everything anyone would ever need to learn how to successfully teach is contained within this impressive work. Okay, Im sold, but whats this incredible resource going to cost me? When I first began to think about putting my manual on the market, my first thought was to create a seminar where people could actually get the benefits in a hands-on way. I know not everyone loves to read, so that seemed to be a great solution. But, I quickly realized how time consuming that would be for everyone so instead, I decided I wanted as many people as possible to reap the benefits of this fabulous manual. So, Im willing to slash the cost just so you can take advantage of the incredible information within Teachers Guide.

5 Ways African School Owners Can Maximize the Power of Social Media

One of the greatest mistakes any industry leader can make today is to neglect the importance of social media for business growth and brand visibility.

The social media is playing a very big and vital role in organizational growth potentials, and school owners and managers would be shooting themselves on the foot if they neglect this trending phenomenon.

Africa has myriads of unending challenges because her leaders lack initiatives and change management acumen. Even in the face of technological advancement sweeping across the globe, it is very appalling to observe that many school owners and managers are still naïve when it comes to utilizing technology for organizational growth and brand visibility.

Take note, schools which neglect social media and technology today would go into extinct tomorrow.

The whole world is on the online space- the social media is the driver.

In what ways do social media matter to you as regards promoting your brand as a school owner/manager?

You know you have a unique brand that can sell—but so does every one of your competitors? Social media is the perfect platform for telling your company’s story and showing what your culture is all about in an authentic, visual way that speaks to both your current team and potential employees and stakeholders.

There are opportunities for networking and corporate relationship that can skyrocket your school to another level, but potential associates would want to know your value drive and all that. Social media make it easier to benefit from such profitable corporate relationship.

As an added bonus, a strong social media presence can help you meet goals like defining your employment brand, driving employee engagement, and staying top of mind for candidates.

The Right Channels for your brand

There are tons of social media channels you can employ for driving your school branding project. But for a start, I will suggest you start with these three:

** Linkedin
** Twitter
** Facebook  Page and Group

It will also make sense if you can build a blog for your brand. But the truth is that more solid relationship is built easily with the above channels. By the time you’ve built a strong fan base, you can as well monetize by creating a blog for your brand.

Other social media channels that can come after include: ** Instagram;  ** Whatsapp, Youtube etc.

Now you’ve known what you stand to gain, how do you go about using social media to promote your school brand visibility and growth target?

…The 5 Proven Tips

1.       Posting Contents: Strike a Balance

The question here is: How often should I share contents on my social media channels? Posting too much is annoying, but post too little and your audience might forget about you! So how do you find that “just right” balance? Experts advise that on most channels (like Facebook and LinkedIn), 2-3 posts per week will keep your content feeling fresh, without risking an overload. Twitter can handle much more; say 1-2 posts a day.  Use your own discretion on other channels like Instagram. The key is consistency and balance.

2.        Think of your audience and partners

You can’t make the desired impact on social media if you just go on talking only about yourself. Of course, you’re promoting a brand and needs to say a lot about that, but try to mix it up! At one time or the other, share articles, stories, and tips about your industry, post educative and problem-solving articles, shout out organizations you support and/or admire, and throw in some fun posts to keep it light. Do you know that when you promote other brands in your posts, they will definitely recommend your brands to colleagues and clients, provided there is no sharp competition.

3.       You’ve got the men- your employees- tap from their potentials

How I feel for school owners and managers who don’t recognize the huge and untapped potentials resident in their employees! You’ve got a lot to gain from your employees, including employing them as the co-drivers of your school social media campaign. Not sure what to post or what’s appealing to your audience? Get feedback from your existing employees! Encourage your employees to engage with your social channels and content. You can make a big wave with an entire team liking and sharing posts. • Creating a dedicated #hashtag for all your employer branding efforts is a great way to create a sense of community. Employees can use it to share their wins, team events, or even just fun day-to-day stuff at the office.

4.       Be More Engaging

You can’t be a hit-and-run poster man and expect to make an impact on social media. People need relationship more than your content. So, you’ve got to engage. Think about it! How did you feel the last time you made a comment on someone’s post and months after, there is no follow up reply to that post? Guess you felt like your comment was not valued and you’d vowed never to make another comment on that page! That is the exact way others react to your post when you don’t engage.

Posting contents your audience will want to like, comment on, and share is just one piece of the puzzle. To make sure they keep coming back for more, reply to their comments, like (or even retweet) their posts—let them know you value their contribution and relationship! If you think you don’t have the time to do that, then engage one or two of your dedicated staff members to be in charge of that area.

5.       Define your Driving Values

Whenever we talk about niche, it is not only about blogsite and all that. It also covers social media campaign and engagement. There are lots of articles and posts on social media offering different values to the engaged audience. The question here is, ‘what are you actually offering’? Your audience wants to know!

If you think you have a lot of values to drive, all you need to do is create different social media channels for each of them. This is very much important with channels like Facebook fan page/group, Linkedin, Instagram, Blogging and the likes. You will be on the losing side if say, you have a Facebook page, Today’s Educators, which by name suggest you are driving values that will be of help to today’s educators, only for you to share posts on education, money, religion, politics and every topic that come to mind on the same channel.

You have to know that people join social media channels based on the value they feel they would derive from such channel, based on its title suggestion. So, don’t infuriate your audience by making unrelated posts. Know the values you want to drive and stick to it- that is what makes you an authority in the field and endear you to your audience.

There are a whole lot of benefits in using the social media channels to promote our cause as a school or individuals. However, we may experience a shipwreck if we fail to follow the right strategies in social media engagement.

This article is meant to help those who are using social media to promote their brands. Feel free to add other useful tips in the comment box. We’ll appreciate your input.
